Upcoming Progressive Events!

> Progressive Democrats of America is holding a lobby day and then a
reception on Capitol Hill Friday, October 1st.
> We're participating in the One Nation Working Together events in DC
Saturday, October 2nd.
> "Computing for the Clueless" MC NOW offers help with basic computer
skills in Wheaton Monday, October 4th.
> October Progressive Coalition meeting: PDA, DFA, MCPA, Meetups in
Wheaton Tuesday, October 5th.

Two Important Events Friday, October 1st
> Visit members of the Progressive Caucus on Capitol Hill with PDA
9 AM - 3 PM, in the House Office Buildings--closest Metro Capitol South

We'll give CPC members a packet of information, and ask them to: Join
the Out of Afghanistan Caucus; Cosponsor Barbara Lee's Bill HR 6045, the
"Responsible End to the War in Afghanistan Act" which would "end combat
operations in Afghanistan and limit funding to the safe and orderly
withdrawal of U.S. troops and military contractors from Afghanistan";
and Sign the "Dear Colleagues" letter to protect Social Security from cuts.

skills in Wheaton Monday, October 4th
There are no "dumb" questions, just information and skills you haven't
learned...yet.
7:00 PM Monday October 4th at the Wheaton Library (Georgia Ave at Arcola).

Experienced computer users will help you with everything from email and
web surfing to Facebook and Twitter.
Presented by MC National Organization for Women. Free and open to all.
Free parking at the library lot.
